Have been trying to get some work done on our house now for ages, but actually getting a builder to turn up and quote you is like trying to get a personal audience with the Pope. Or Charlotte Church.....
Only problem is - the stuff we want doing will maybe encompass quite a few building skills cos we want our kitchen wall moving, some new units putting in, some new flooring in the hall and kitchen (tiles)- plus the associated electrical, plumbing and tiling work.
Any ideas anyone? Will I be able to get one firm to do the lot? |

Give Ian Hessay a call, tell him your kitchen is a community resource and that you have a football pitch and he'll be round in a shot...

York House Interiors on Hull Road can organise all those things for you. Don't be put off thinking it's too expensive, they have some very good tradesmen working for them.

He has a massive waiting list though. PR this. Top of the Pops that.

Thanks for the replies and PMs on this one - will give a few of these a ring.
As for Bob the Builder - he is too busy giving Wendy one. Possibly the worst kept secret in TV that, thought everyone knew.......... |

No one has yet mentioned our friends Persimmon.
Is it because their efforts at building 'bridges' failed miserably.

Considering that 'Can't Grumble' attended all of the Persimmon protests I think he probably knows that!
