Flying out for 2 tests in Sri Lanka tomorrow. Promises to be a good series and good to get away from a shocking football season.
There'll be a few York fans in attendance...look out for the flags for those watching on TV.
If the Tamil Tigers get me, it was nice knowing you... |

I'm here Tom, hopefully meet up with you and Jacko tomorrow.
Can't stop now, I can hear the Lion calling.

Especially when the Celtic f**kers decide to set the fire alarm off at 4am for a "joke".

He's definitely there, he's been texting me this morning after I enquired about the swarm of bees!
He says he has bumped into 1tom!

Aye, met Jacko the other evening in Queens.
Its a good laugh out here, plenty of Lion beer and sun. We've paid some Sri Lankan a few rupees so our white rose flag with 'YCFC' on it is literally right next to where the players walk out of the dressing room

Got back yesterday - what a trip!
Defo the best country I've been to to watch crickeet - friendly, cheap, hot, decent beer etc.
If you ever get the chance to watch England cricket play away - take it, It's the best holiday you'll ever have.
I paid 20p a day to get in at in Colombo - that makes the £14 to watch City seem a bit steep!
If Tom carries on like he did in Sri Lanka he's destined for legend status among England cricket fans - top performance.

Got back very late on Sunday night....
What can I say, an absolutely tremendous trip with numerous amusing stories. A fantastic country and a great place to go and watch cricket - if you're even vaguely interested in the sport, don't miss this tour when it next happens in 4/5 years or so. |
