What are your views that Newcastle have now signed Micheal owen for a club record £16 million (I think) . I think it was a very good signing and the manager will not regret it, I think he wont do wonders for the club but he will do well. What do you think ?

Ahem, it is "Michael".
Owen is a fantastic buy IMO, glad to see him back. Hopefully he will hit it off with Shearer and they can get a few goals between then, goals which Newcastle need after the poor start they have had.

Owen will change Newcastle's performances....slightly.
First of all, they need to sort out Souness, who is probably one of the worst managers in the Premiership IMO.
Owen will, increase the team spirit and performances at the club, not just because he is a good player, but because of his reputation and charisma.
The feeling around Newcastle is already lifted I feel, but when they need to start winning fast, now that they have 3 great strikers. However, Newcastle may regret paying out all that money for Owen, especially if they don't make a European spot this year. Players will want to leave, and the crisis will continue. |
