Well I say, quite how we didn't get at least a point from that I don't know.

Anyway, for the sakes of Tom Hird and anyone else who will read this, yes it's better than LW's

Porter - 6 - Not really in the game, one decent save but flapped far too often and dropped the high ball. No blame for penalty.

Peat - 7 - Shaun Smith-esque at times when playing down the line but has a very good cross and corner, excellent deliveries all game apart from one free kick, decent player.

McGurk - 7 - Really should have scored, a clear free header with about 15 mins left to bring it to 1-1, solid at the back all game though.

Hotte - 6 - Another penalty given away and very lucky that the ref didn't give the other stonewall penalty against hi in the first half, quite what he was doing with the shot at the end too, I don't know!

Price - 7 - Good player, can't control his long balls with a first time effort but is an excellent defender, solid down the right, didn't let much past.

Dunning - 7 - Fought well, won the ball and passed it off well, still not really forward though, fantasitic cross to set up the offside goal, pinpoint accuracy and he was facing the other way, coming back to the Dunning of old possibly.

Panther - 7 - Good player, willing to get stuck in and win the ball, pressures players on the when defending and picks his passes well on it.

Convery - 8 - This player is something else! Runs at defenders and usually has the skil to beat the or lay off a brilliant pass opening up the pitch, has passing over any distance is excellent as is ball control, best midfielder IMO

O'Neill - 5 - Never in the game at all, hardly notice him, never jumped for the ball in the first half and never made an effort to chase anything down,should have scored but didn't look up then palyed an awful ball back to Bishop, would rather see Mallon or Pounder in.

Donaldson - 7 - Great with his pace although I can see him getting injured, getting taken out as many times as he does every match, first touch is still very poor and that cost him a couple of good scoring opportunities, hopefully get better with time. Sometimes tried to do too much though.

Bishop - 8 - My MotM - Fantastic hit, not sure whether he was offside or not, never gave up and played some supurb balls in, deserved at least one goal, when he is fully fit he should play up centre forward in place of O'Neill.

Subs

Stewart - 8 - Not on long but brought some natrual width and ran at defenders well, final ball has improved a lot since last season, deserves a decent run in the side after that showing.

Yalcin - 6 - Nothing special today, grown to expect more, really wasted the free kick and had two poor attempts on goal.

We should have won that damned game, but oh well.

The ref didn't make himself very popular with people, particuarly Woody, who decided he wanted the ref "to die". Lovely.
