Well i have to say this game was very frustrating, about as frustrating as me trying to pull Confused Same old thing really, we just can't get the ball buried deep in the net, and passing again is a mess.
The new York squad looked a bit more lively but i must say i am very dissapointed we didn't get 3 points, which of course with ease we could of, but oh no this is York City Mad

Here are my ratings

1. Porter 6 (Didn't have much to do but kicking is terrible)

2. Price 6 (Not really troubled in defence but a few passes went wrong)

3. Peat 6 (Same as Price)

4. Hotte 7 (Kept the ball nice and central)

5. McGurk 6 (Didn't notice he was playing tbh)

7. Convery 8 (This lad has skill and i think he will become a major assett)

8. Panther 7 (Not a bad player, but isn't that fantastic as some people have made out)

9. Donaldson 6 (Tried to be a bit too fancy)

12. Dunning 5 (Passing is awful, free kicks are awful, corners are awful)

21. Mallon 6 (Kept losing the ball to the opposition)

22. Mansaram 7 (Looks quite a decent signing, and has good balance)

The subs

11. Bishop 6 (Didn't make much of an impact)

18. Stewart 6 (Same as Bishop)

Overall
Dissapointed with a 0-0 draw, improvements can be made, but afterall you can't be too expectant of a new bunch of class mates can you Wink

To be honest Winston, I thought it was a very good performance today. To say that this is the first competitive game with a whole new squad, they did fantastic today.

For once, we actually looked like we wanted to win, and all the players showed fantastic commitment in their challenges and their effort.

We maybe could have created a few more chances, but in terms of possession and keeping the ball, we were very good.

Panther looks like he could be a prized assett this season, as does Hotte. Donaldson showed good ability today, his pace is fantastic, and him and Bishop could score a lot of goals together if they get the chances.

People like you Winston are always the first to criticise and put people down. Personally, I thought it was a fantastic display, well done to them.

You could call it fantastic if they won, but they didn't, don't forget we beat them 3-1 with Busby's team. I have waited long enough for success and i think sometimes i deserve the right for critisim. Dunning is truley terrible Evil or Very Mad

Not a bad performance, to be honest I'm pissed off a bit we didn't win but it was a good performance. Win against Southport would make it a lot better, 4 from 6. Convery looked good again but apart from that no body really shone.

My mouth is horrible from blowing up all those balloons though, big flag banner looked awesome too.

An awful report, It was a good performance, we dominated the game jsut couldn't find the net. The only one I agree with was Convery.

McGurk won everything in the air and did his job well and the defence played well as a unit which meant no-one needed to be outstanding.

I solid start to the season and something to build on.

A truly awful report.

Lord Winston don't know what the hell he is talking about because Dunning is not rubbish. He was as good as every one else, except convery who was exceptional

BRING ON SOUTHPORT

Dunning was rubbish sorry but its the truth, his corners are terrible, as is his shooting, other players weren't too bad, not brilliant but ok.
And why the heck is Liam George your avatar Rolling Eyes

Dunning played well today, tried to pass it forward and his mazy runs actually got somewhere. You were facing the other way most of the time anyway.

Weird that 'cos McGUrk was my man of the match. He just makes defending look really easy. With hikm and Hotte in defence we won't concede many. We just need to get the other end of the pitch sorted out.

Since when did a 0-0 draw with Crawley become acceptable, oh how times of changed. I remember fans screaming for Little out when we lost 3-2 to Millwall, oh how things go low, i mean now were delighted we drew 0-0, its weird Confused

You are an idiot, we have fallen a long way since then, we played well just couldn't find te finsihing touch. They finished well above us last season and have had a largew cash injection. Theyu came with the intention of a 0-0 draw. We have lots of positives to take out of the perfornace.

Look Amos i have my rights to put my opinions across, im not saying the match was a f***ing disgrace i am just saying that we could of done a bit better. Im sure if you talk to long serving York fans who have been watching for 10 years or more that things have got low. We are going to get better i know we will but it may take a bit of effort.
None of the players were really at fault, just a few things need patching up such as set peices and shooting, then i think we may get into 5th gear Wink

What the hell are you on about, you didn't even watch the game, every time I looked at you you were facing the other way so how you can even make a reoprt I don't know, added to that how you can rate players like you would as if we had lost, give it a break and let someone else do it.

Now just for my put in.

Porter 7 - Didn't have much to do, didn't do anything wrong, took one cross well and closed down the angle when Burton fired wide. Kicking not brilliant at times.

Peat 7 - Less Shaun Smith like than I thought, only one I remember went into the stand, passed it well and held onto it well, delivered a couple of decent crosses

McGurk 8 - Solid, won everything in the air, didn't need to do anything special, passed well on the floor too.

Hotte 8 - Very good leadership, good in the air, came close with a header, again distribution very good.

Dunning 7 - Very good dribbling skill, even tried to pass it forward, usual set pieces but overall a solid game.

Panther 7 - Gave the ball away at time but made up for it and never stopped hassling, gave Crawley player no time on the ball and tackled well.

Convery 8 - Good on the deck, excellent passing skill and well guised, really should have scored late on but an exciing prospect.

Mallon 7 - Played well, never gave up on the ball, had a shot blocked, might have been handball, good winger though.

Mansaram 7 - Tried hard, tailed off towards the end, just couldn't get past the solid Crawley defence. Good in the air.

Donaldson 7 - Won plenty of headers, linked up well with others and after intial poor control early on he improved. Nearly scored with his cross-cum-shot in in stoppage time

Subs:

Bishop 6 - Could have scored but poor first touch took it away from him, will be much better when fully fit.

Stewart 6 - Mis-controlled on the wing and it went out. Plenty of room if he had done, it could have been an important break. Apart from that, took on plyers well but lacked final delivery which was a shame, will improve with time.

Fans 9 - Excellent display at atmosphere at the start of the game, loud and proud, keep it up! Just don't throw the balloons directly on the floor next time.

Sounds familier Laughing

I think our club has some anti scoring jinx, i mean we have only scored 4 goals in 5 games in 8 years, we always are some of the lowest scorers in the league. I don't think we will score many goals this season but on other hand concede many, i expect a few 0-0, 1-1 draws and 1-0 wins this season, maybe tight but will do the job Smile

Right LW, so it's now gone from an average performance with not much to look forward to, to lots of games that will do the job. Your opinion changes every day LW. Just don't say anything next time.
