Ok the first task is you have to choose a well known song and re fit it with lyrics to do with football. If you have a song that isn't that well known you could post the origanal lyrics aswell. The worst 3 will be entered into a poll to determine who stays.

I'll give you untill Friday noon.

BLING IT UP FOR...
Doctor Jim III, WHO PRESENTS:

Dedicated Follower of Football -
THE REMIX OF Dedicated Follower of Fashion

'Riginal lyrics at http://kinks.it.rit.edu/cgi-bin/MusicSearch.cgi?song=nonLP/song-dedfollow

They seek him here, they seek him there,
His clothes are loud, but never square.
It will make or break him so he's got to buy the best,
'Cause he's a dedicated follower of football.

And when he does his little rounds,
'Round the boutiques of London Town,
Eagerly pursuing all the latest fads and trends,
'Cause he's a dedicated follower of football.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).
He thinks he is a flower to be looked at,
And when he pulls his frilly nylon panties right up tight,
He feels a dedicated follower of football.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).
There's one thing that he loves and that is flattery.
One week he's in polka-dots, the next week he is in stripes.
'Cause he's a dedicated follower of football.

They seek him here, they seek him there,
In Regent Street and Leicester Square.
Everywhere the Carnabetian army marches on,
Each one an dedicated follower of football.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).
His world is built 'round discoteques and parties.
This pleasure-seeking individual always looks his best
'Cause he's a dedicated follower of football.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).
He flits from shop to shop just like a butterfly.
In matters of the cloth he is as fickle as can be,
'Cause he's a dedicated follower of football.
He's a dedicated follower of football.
He's a dedicated follower of football.

There endeth the extreme remix. I'm a sure win. I am the most awesome discus jockey.

Gavin, as you well know I have again "forgotten" to take part in this task. I urge others to rebel and do the same.

What do you get out of that? Why are you in it if you aren't going to bother doing anything. Just a simple one verse and chorus would do...

I, for one, think this is a very good idea for a task.

Here's mine (it's based on REM's "losing my religion" in case you can't tell:

Losing our League status:

Oh life. In this league. It's tougher than you could imagine
The lengths teams have to go to
To save precious cash
Oh no we've spent too much
Not good enough

That's me in the corner
Under the floodlights
Losing our league status
Trying to keep track of
The players that we'll have to release
To merely balance the books
It's not enough

I thought we were going places
Heading for the Premiership
To think that we could well go bust

Every movement
Of every playing second
They're fighting for new contracts
Twelve uncertain months
In this Godforsaken, bankrupt national game oh
At least they're still playing
For now

Consider this
100 professional teams in this land and only 5 or 6, if that
Have a guarantee of any form of financial security
Many could go bust, go under; to the wall

I thought we were going places...

All those stupid dreams
All those stupid dreams

That's me in the corner...
I thought we were going places...

All those stupid dreams
Promotion to the higher leagues
All those stupid dreams were only dreams,
Only dreams, dreams.

Taken from This Fire by Franz Ferdinand

http://www.lyrics007.com/Franz%20Ferdinand%20Lyrics/This%20Fire%20Lyrics.html

Warning

This song is shi*e

(Guitar Intro)

England
Boring me to death
Stevie Gerrard
He should have gone to Madrid
So
There is no footballer in me
Footballer than cant headdddddddddddddd

This Footballer is out of control
He's gonna score for City
Score for City!
If this Footballer is out of control
Then I
Am out of control
and i score

Wages
Burning a hole in ma' pocket
Overwhelming
The Cash that they give us these days
So....
There is a Footballer in me
A one that scores gooooaaaaaaaalllllllsssssssssss

This Footballer is out of control...........

(Repeat)

Lyrics to On The Ball by Ant and Dec

http://www.lyricsondemand.com/a/antanddeclyrics/ontheballlyrics.html

They thought it was all over, but Gila had it won,
The league of catenaccio, in the land of Pizza Hut.
Seemed a million miles away, and one thing’s for sure,
The talk begins of ’99 cos we haven’t found a cure.
Send an SOS, a city’s in need,
Gila’s the man who’s got a plan-we’ve found a super kid!
A city disunited, as Bologna splits untrue,
Bonera is captain, and Gila makes it two!

CHORUS
We’re staying up, we’re staying up,
We’re staying up, we’re staying up.
We’re staying up, we’re staying up,
We’re staying up, we’re staying up.

White will be the colour, Italia in our hands,
The time has come to win it-Can we win it? Yes we can!
Parma’s army marching forward, hear the Gialoblu roar,
We’re Parma for ever, now together-we’re staying up!

CHORUS

What do you think of the song Joshy?
Oh fantastic!
Is it gonna be a hit?
Yes it is!

It’s Frey to Bovo, Bovo to Paolo,
Paolo to Marco,Marco-Morfeo,
Morfeo to Seric, Seric to Bresci,
Bresci to Gila, it’s a goal, 2-0!
x2

Unless it goes to penalties, are we getting the Rossonerri?
We're on the ball, who's on that ball?
We're on the ball, we're on the ball.
Even though we're small, we're on the ball!

BILLIE JEAN REMIX BY TOM BLACKER

He was more like a sexy girl from a wet dream
I said no way but what you mean i am the one
who will play, on the pitch, in the ground.

He told me his name was Billy Mac as he came through the steam
The team all turned their heads to see the one.
who will play, on the pitch, in the ground.

People always tell me, be careful what you do
Don't go around breaking other players legs.
And momma always told me be careful who you play
And be careful what you do cause they might think your a poof.

Billy Mac is not my gaffer
He's just a man that told me i am the one.
But the man is not my chum.

He said i am the one
But the man is not my son.

My entry. Sorry don't know how to put original lyrics on but i found them easily on google.Hope you like it. Very Happy

Well I said it didn't count, but oh well you can stay in as it would be unfair as Nico's was equally sh*t.
