I don't think so as it was a free transfer.

Does anybody also know weather or not he played enough games for Cardiff for us to receive the last bit of the money that we sold him for, or is that something else that we lose out on? Confused

Hartlepool United have completed the signing of Lee Bullock on a free transfer. The sudden move sees the versatile midfielder leave Ninian Park 15 months after Lennie Lawrence splashed out £100,000 to York City for his services.

Without press speculation or media awareness, Lee Bullock has signed for Hartlepool United on a free transfer. The versatile midfielder failed to make a significant impact during his 15-month spell in South Wales, and with the Bluebirds desperate to slash a crippling wage bill, Bullock has moved to the North East.

Cardiff splashed out £100,000 for the Stockton-born player after he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Ninian Park. He netted 3 times in only 10 loan appearances and Lennie Lawrence was quick to sign up Bullock on a permanent basis. There was much excitement amongst City supporters at the signing of 'Bully', who had been under the spotlight at York City following a string of impressive performances.

Unfortunately, the move perhaps never turned out like many had hoped. Bullock proved a useful player, with his versatility also meaning he was used as a forward whilst the club suffered an injury crisis. However, the 24-year-old never established himself in the first XI and made more appearances off the bench than in the starting line-up.

With the club desperate to offload players, Bullock has proved surplus to requirements and will join a Hartlepool side aiming for promotion next season. The club missed out at the final hurdle last season, losing in the play-off final against Sheffield Wednesday, and have instilled the ambition to move into England's top two divisions for the first time in their history.

Personally, I think Bullock could have done a job for City and still had plenty to offer. Sadly, these are desperate times and with the signing of Jeff Whitley secured last week, players will now leave and these are desperate times for CCFC. Good luck in the future to Bullock.

According to the first paragraph we got £100k for him - no new from the board tho
