What are your plans with phpBB 2.2?

The next version of phpBB 2.2 is due out soon, possibly later this year.

Are there any plans to upgrade straight away, or to wait until the code has stabalised? Or are you happy with 2.2.

I'll be upgrading my site to 2.2 at around the time of one of the release candidates, so I can point out any trapfalls if needed.

If it were me, I'd:

1/ wait for version 2.2.3 or 2.2.4
2/ take a backup of the current site and all its data
3/ restore the backup to a new machine
4/ perform the upgrade
5/ test test test - and maybe invite a couple of other folks to mess around with it too.

But it's not me. As you were folks.

The new version has been renamed version 3.0. It'll be going into beta very soon. There are planned to be 3 beta releases plus a few release candidates. The gold release of 3.0 will introduce a new default style.

I'll probably hold off upgrading until 2.0.0 ships at the earliest. However I plan to install the beta on my site using another database just to show it off to others.
