fair enough he was the only one, to be honest with you i couldn't name any of them (including him) apart from simon johnson our asian forward.
But i have only heard of our players because of champ manager to be honest, but it was a good performance from our youngsters.

Typical Leeds - got the maths wrong again, or were the two bays of the Pop stand at the away end filled with ghosts?

Stubbsy - why do you come on this forum?
We dont really want to read your crap, we out sung you and you know we did - but you want to wind up as usual.
I expect you will have a fair season in Division 2 (well thats where you are in reality - not a big team any more - hence not many of our fans found you an attraction)
What is so funny is you think you are a big team but your team are so small and so hard up they insisted on 50 per cent of tonight's gate plus travelling expenses.
Big teams send over pretty decent teams to help smaller clubs like us out - they do it for nowt, but Leeds are so hard up and so tight they have to screw little clubs like us.
Shame really your lot were once giants - they are not now and most likely never will be again!

Who cares really who outsung each other for a pre season game? What's more important is it sounds like things are slowly getting better with each friendly for some of our potentially most important players on the pitch next season.
As for Leeds - I think they will have to wait a good few years until they return to the Premiership because of their financial situation. The players they have brought in aren't that fantastic, and if anything I think they will be mid table at best. |

In the socail club at half time we were sat with some Leeds lads, pretty decent, they said they were sat in the main stand with the City lot because they didnt want to stand with those knobheads on the Terraces (pointing at the away end!)
Mind you we have our own knobheads!
"One Peter Risdale" chant.
Remember what Chairmen have done to us -I - and other I will add - felt it was pretty low to mock with that.
(Mind you as an aside when talking to the Leeds fan I mentioned we had some pretty unusual trips to come this season, Leigh RMI Forest Green etc) he said WHY? He did not know we were no longer members of the league!!!!!! - Which probably says something - many City fans seem to think Leeds are our rivals [which of course they are not] but some Leeds fans don't even know who we are!)

go cry to laurence then and ban me.
and i never said we were a big club. And i know we aren't a big club anymore, and that we are in a huge financial mess, so 50 percent of the gate was needed, we need the cash as well you know. We aren't so hard up and tight, we are desperate for cash. And we didn't screw you as you still got as much gate revenue as we did, 50/50 so you have screwed us as much as we screwed you.

Actually that is not true. Do you have to pay for pitch maintenance, grounds keepers wages, policing, stewards wages, turnstile operators wages??? No didn't think so. For you the 50% of the gate is pure profit.
Also I think it is time you left this board, and only return when you have something useful to contribute.

Stubbsy the point I make is that Leeds wanted 50 per cent of the gate - City said yes cos last year Leeds sent a decent team and both clubs (cos it was the same deal then - and Leeds charged £800 for their coach from Leeds to York as part of that travel expenses!!!!) made a nice income with around 6500 fans there.
Last night Leeds sent a team with no pull so the crowd was 2200 in effect after your expenses it equated to about 1000 to York City FC in terms of income. York City could have played anybody and pulled more than 1000 - Leeds lost us money but made themselves a nice sum to give their 2nd / 3rd team a run out.
Leeds I doubt will ever be a big team again. Personally I hope you come straight back up because financially it will cripple you if you do and as Leeds and people like you have shown no sympathy towards us I show none to you and them. (Incidentally I am not one of the criticise Leeds at every occassion - I even used to go to watch them in my youth - I stopped that when I saw the disgraceful behaviour of their fans - many of them when they missed out on a league and cup double some time in the seventies).
Incidentally I don't need to "cry to Laurence" I have the power of one click of the mouse to wipe out EVERYTHING you say but wouldn't - my question was why do you infest this board - you have a contempt for York and are a Leeds supporter so why not mix with your mates - presumably you enjoy the intelligent conversation on here (or you visit here to find out where capital letters go in a sentence because typically your intelligence level - if it is to be judged from your postings - has not reached the point where capital letters are understood!
Keep posting if you like but remember this is a board for York City we don't particularly want to read the words of Leeds chants etc, if we did we would go to www.usedtobeabigteambutarenowcrap.co.uk web site!

Forgetting of course that we were at home? I don't think any other team we have played pre - season has demanded any of the gate money (correct me if I'm wrong, but nothing's ever been written in the YEP about such an issue).
We have screwed you? Oh, of course, Leeds should have all of the gate money.

Does anyone sing at pre-season friendlies?
Also, isn't it typical that a Leeds fan from York doesn't even recognise Harpal Singh, one of their most well-known players!

haha, one of our most well-known players!! You on drugs or you pissed? Infact by the sound of it you are both.
I am on here in order to arrange a match between your board and "my" leeds board, (its not mine i'm just a poster on it but been the only poster from there on here and knowing a few of your better posters who dont have to share brain cells i am arranging it on there behalf)
Point out anywhere in any of my posts where i have slagged of York City blatently without backing up my point, i havent just come on here and go "york city are crap" or "leeds united are a big club" so stop been so childish and up your own arses and have a bit of friendly banter without going all moody and pathetic.

So Harpal Singh is not a well-known name in football?
Sad that you know f**k all about your own club, but then again you're not from Leeds so it's not "your club" is it you arsewipe?
