During our decline in April I rewrote "losing my religion" for the sake of YCFC so here it is to be viewed by the masses.

Losing our league status

Oh life. In this league. It's tougher than you could imagine
The lengths teams have to go to
To save precious cash
Oh no we've spent too much
Not good enough

That's me in the corner
Under the floodlights
Losing our league status
Trying to keep track of
The players that we'll have to release
To merely balance the books
It's not enough

I thought we were going places
Heading for the Premiership
To think that we could well go bust

Every movement
Of every playing second
They're fighting for new contracts
Twelve uncertain months
In this Godforsaken, bankrupt national game oh
At least they're still playing
For now

Consider this
100 professional teams in this land and only 5 or 6, if that
Have a guarantee of any form of financial security
Many could go bust, go under; to the wall
