Now that your message is legible.
That is something we are concerned about, we have to get the right balance between wanting to win and giving everyone a part in the team. This team has been set up for the members of R&B and because of that we need to be fair when we pick a team, e.g. give all members a chance to play.
Depending on numbers we may consider having a reserve team/ B-team, but for now we are happy with one big squad.

I'm well interested. No club here seems interested in an Australian goal keeper without even seeing me play. Laurence has seen me play - you know I'm decent.
The only hassle would be transport, and we all know how good the public system isn't. That aside, count me in!

Did I mention that I've had various nicknames from my previous clubs back in Oz;
The Cat, Spider Man and Schmiechel.
I'll need some practice cos I've not played 11 a side in a good 10 months with the different seasons here, but I can organise a defense like nobodies business. I always seemed to go to a team with the worst defense in the league, and would only concede 1 or 2 goals a game, tops.
I have played on the (left) wing, but I'm a much better keeper than field player.

You're named after the dog from Coronation Street?
F**king hell Australia is backward!

Australia is actually ahead in terms of time, so I've missed a season effectively
Not owning a tv means I have no idea what you're referring to with Coronation Street.

Putting me down as a left winger is a bit optimistic. I'm really a goal keeper exclusively.
I did mention that I've played 1 level below international when I was back in Australia didn't I? I was named as goal keeper for my state days before my departure back in February...

Ok changed accordingly. Laurence has PMed me a glowing reference, looks like we are building a strong squad.

When would the games be played?(as in what day/time). I can play anywhere in midfield really, preferrably on the wings, and can also play in attack. |

1. We have missed the cut off point to enter a team this year, seen as the season has nearly started, so we plan to register next year. We can't enter a team into the Saturday morning internet league that the YorkieBars play in because it is one team per club. So it is looking likely that we will play on Sunday's (don't everyone withdraw now if Sunday's aren’t good as it is not confirmed yet).
2.Ok thanks, I have up-dated your information.

I knew this would happen. This was supposed to be something which YY had arranged. Where the kids would get together to play a game of footy. Already, the young kids are being kicked out the team i.e - Yorkcity4eva. You should of just kept it to a YY team and say 'this is how many places we have left'

thats the thing tho janesy, YY did organise it really, 0it was brought on to CC and GC because the YY's couldnt pull a big enough team together, so the older players were just to fill the spaces i think, and i am sure yc4eva will not be out of the team, just got a bit of competition for his place, the YY's will allways remain in stong contention -for places im sure

Hmm. Funny how you can make that comment when we haven't even played a match or even picked a team.
janesy we are intending to enter into a men’s league and for that reason we need some 'older' players that have experience of playing in these leagues. I' am sure that someone like you who plays within the game is aware that a team has to be slightly competitive, you wouldn't see the York City Under-15's enter into the Conference would you??

Exactly Dobo. Everyone has competition for places, and everyone will have the chance to play this year.

You are so god damn argumentative! im was merely expressing my belief that these youngsters would be getting a fair chance to play.

How frequent is the bus service from Sydney to Acomb?
