Was listening to radio this morning when 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' was played. Have now spent ages trying to remember the advert the track appeared on. I know it's an old one but can any music (or telly) experts help out?

Didn't it appear on the old Dulux paint advertisements?

Would kind of fit that product.

It was originally used long before 96. Mid to late 80s.

Was the "cigar" advert not for "Hamlet" which I seem to remember used "Air On A G-String" {no jokes please ... Rolling Eyes } - the classical piece which I think Procul Harum used as the inspiration for "Whiter Shade Of Pale" ?

There. That's cleared it up once and for all ....... Wink
