Trialist Alan Harrison broke his Tibia and Fibula whilst playing for Darlo on Tuesday. Joey Hutchinson his own teammate broke it by accident. Alan was going to be offered a contract by David Hodgson, but as he broke both bones in his leg he is going to be out for at least a year. David Hodgson, bless him, went to the hospital after the match and gave him a years contract whilst Alan was on the hospital bed.
I know that darlo aren't everyones favourite team on this forum but i think that is bloody good of david hodgson to do that especially as darlo barely have two pennies to rub together.
9 out of 10 managers would of left him in the lurch but it is great sportsmanship by Hodgson. Many managers should take this is note cus we need a few more of these type of people in the game.

Yea it is.
I hope he repays him when he is fit and doesn't go running off to another team because he got a better offer.

Fair play to Hodgson, who has always seemed a decent sort of bloke.

Agreed. My Darlo supporting cousins speak highly of Hodgson, so I'm not surprised. |
