As it's now the Summer Holidays, we're experiencing a dip in numbers.

So, to sustain a sufficient number to ensure we have a decent game and continue to raise money for the Club/Trust (the amount raised so far is £240!), we need to attract some more City fans to participate.

So, any forum members who attend for the first ever time will get a FREE game, also if you introduce a City fan even if they're not on the forum, they can also get their first game free.

I hope to see some new people down and put some more names to faces.

The details are as follows:

Tuesdays at 7:15pm
(Finishes at approx 8:45pm)

Fridays at 7:15pm
(Finishes at approx 8:45pm)

Sundays at 6:45pm
(Finishes at approx 8:00pm)

All at the astroturf at Oaklands Sports Centre, Cornlands Road, Acomb. YO24 3DX.

Any queries please contact me.

Chirst, how long do you play for? I'm knackered after 10 minutes!

The times quoted allow time to collect money, pick teams and get ready.

The games can last anything from 55 mins (if we have a late start and are chucked off a bit early Mad ) to 90 mins (when the opposite happens, it's a good game and no-one wants to stop!!).

FREE game tonight (Friday) for anyone turning up for their first ever time

I don't think you would be in this game, the standard isn't exactly superb and it's hardly full pitch. Come down and give it a try!

Play on the 5-a-side pitches? New markings now and everything, we had to make up new rules for Strikers and Keepers on Thursday! Mad i tell you!

How many do you get most weeks?

Yes but we ignore the markings for goalkeepers as that's just silly.

We aim for 7 a side if possible, which is a good number on that size of pitch (which is far bigger than you'd want for 5-a-side).

See you there?

Not tonight but maybe soon. I had a good footy and its yours if you can find it. I play on Pitch 3 on Thursdays and it was lost in that small forest Oaklands keep to the side. Confused

It was a good game today. Hope that the new guy comes again, I enjoyed battling with him.

A rather mixed performance from this District Attourney Assistant in goal...

Still recovering from today's football - never go for a 50 / 50 challenge against that mad twin in goal unless you want to get injured, as I found out to my cost today. Sad

acombred - were you £1.50 down for today's money for football? Can't remember paying. Confused
