York City midfielder Lee Bullock will sign for First Division Cardiff City this week after returning from his Florida holiday. The Stockton-born star, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Ninian Park last season, should finally complete his protracted transfer by Friday.

According to the YEP The Minstermen are understood to have agreed a £100,000 deal with the Bluebirds for Bullock's signature, with the amount being paid in full after the player completes 25 senior appearances. However icWales is reporting that the Minstermen will get £75,000 now with an additional £75,000 based on first team appearances. It is not clear which deal has actually been done due to the conflicting stories.

Bullock has already started four games for the Welsh club, plus a further six as substitute, while scoring three times.

Cardiff manager Lennie Lawrence is himself still away but has stated that the deal is imminent following lengthy talks with both the player and his agent.

Bullock will join another ex-Minsterman at Ninian Park in the shape of 16-year-old youth team keeper Scott Allison, who also made the switch last month.

Talented schemer Bullock made in excess of 150 appearances during his six years at Bootham Crescent and netted 27 goals.

Fox Offered Trial:

Meanwhile another former long-serving midfielder, Christian Fox, has been offered a trial by City's Conference rivals Halifax Town.

Fox was one of eleven players released by the Minstermen after their relegation from the Football League last May.
