I think quite a few of us have suffered this - not being technical though I beleive it is a worm getting into people's address books - I usually delete them .

I've had quite a few, but it stopped when I updated my antivirus software. It was a worm as AD says. Do you have any antivirus software? |

I use AVG and the more recent updates have got rid of the worm. Have you updated off the AVG website?

as long as you delete the email without downloading the document its ok. unfortunately i got one from a mate without realising this and downloaded it and it knackered me computer up. the document attached is usually called 'important document' and is about 0.1mb.

I have received emails like that from posters on this forum. Usually it just says RE: Hello and the file is about 31kb in size.

This is what it does:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.netsky.c@mm.html
To remove it:

It is vital that anyone who uses Windows-based systems ensures your Anti Virus software is up-to-date, either get one that automatically updates or update it every week, also ensure Windows is regularly updated ( www.windowsupdate.com ) and critical updates are applied immediately on the day of their release. |
