All is not lost.
We still have two more group games, and remember the top 2 in the group go through.

You're still sh*te.
Your defence is crap, the only reason we didn't manage more is because our manager has an obsession with playing players out of position and our goalkeeper quite frankly wouldn't look out of place on a park pitch.

I cried at that final f***ing whistle. You luck French ba****ds. Really. You couldn't beat us on your own, we OUTPLAYED you for 90 minutes and it took two silly errors for you to get your "victory". You were awful, and we nearly, NEARLY had you.
We'll f***ing do you in the final.

Yes we are.
The team we have is good, we kept the French at bay for 91 minutes until Heskey and then Gerrard made silly mistakes.
Players like Owen though need to hit top form and start knocking in the goals.
Attacking play should become a priority as our defence was strong against the French, i.e King and Campbell.
Lampard, Beckham, Scholes, Rooney, Owen need to be attacking not constantly repelling attacks.

Ok the players maybe good but its effort that counts and it will take effort to beet Switzerland and Croatia.
Maybe now i understand why were are 13th in the Fifa rankings.

| I thought we were a bit too defensive for the second half, and in the end France capitalised. A big disappointment Rooney was taken off, as he could have caused France a lot more problems had he stayed on. |

Completely agreed on Rooney PMG.
He is one of the main threats of the team. He gets at defences and causes far more problems than Heskey ever did.
His only bad thing is his temperament which showed through at times in the match i.e his slapping thing with Makelele.

Heskey on for Rooney BAD DECISION
Because of Heskey the rot started and we lost, once there first goal went in morale dropped suddenly and that may of been the reason for the penalty give away.
The players i blame are Heskey, Gerrard and Beckham.
No one else

NO THEY DIDN'T.
They capitalised because of two errors that resulted in dead ball situations. That's taking advantage of LUCK. France were more than LUCKY to even get out of that game yesterday with a draw. I don't care if you think my head is in the clouds or whatever - for ninety minutes we matched everything they threw at us and our attacking was certainly more precise than theirs.
We'll meet again you frog eating ba****ds, don't worry.

i disagree, i thought heskey played very well when he came on. but just because everyone has got it into their minds that they don't like heskey then you blame him. David Beckham missed a penalty yet no-one goes round saying 'oh its beckhams fault' you say 'if he'd of scored that we would of stood a better chance' you are the first person i have heard criticise beckham and i applaud you for doing it.Heskey won headers and generally held the ball up well and he can only get better with praise not with people continually putting him down. he was alot better than michael owen anyway.

Sorry to say this but people are saying England controlled the game for the whole 90 minutes, but it looked to me like in the 2nd half the only time we attacked was Rooney's run to win the penalty and the shot that smacked Barthez in the face (which was very funny! ) The rest of the time was spent defending and clearing the ball and allowing France to build up yet another attck.
Although they did play better than France in the 1st half and the goal was well deserved!

I agree Jansey, the "foul" he commited wasn't one, or was a very debatable one as he got more than a bit of the ball.
Rooney had a fantastic game, but for the penalty, it really shouldn't have got to that stage as Vassell was in literally acres of space. All it needed was a square ball and he was in, and we know his form in front of goal playing for England.
Overall a draw would have been a fair result as they were camped in our half for the whole 2nd half and much of the 1st. We were much to defensive throuhgout the whole game, however with the likes of John terry to return, we still have a GREAT chance of winning this b*****d cup.
Come on England!!!
