I think it is crap T F.
Shearer would never leave Newcastle, and will see out his playing career with them, not some crap Serie B team.

I dont understand why he wants to retire next year when he will ony be 34, he surley has a good few years in him. I think he will end his days in Quatar

Shearer isn't the sort of person to go to Qatar.
Only greedy players like Batistuta go there.

How do the Quatar clubs afford the wages. I mean Lebouf was a very high wage earner at Chelsea and i think Gazza can be a bit gready (Well i think he was at a Quatar club, it says he is on CM) anyway Shearer will most likely end his days at Newcastle

Because the clubs are owned by some of the wealthiest people in Asia, who can affored to pay them that much so they raise the profile of football in their country.

Because of the oil mate, all of the clubs are full of barrons from that trade.
As for Shearer, there was talk of a rift between him and Robson, and also that the fans aren't liking the way Newcastle play with him in the side. That will be why there is speculation over his future, however I cant see him playing for anyone else other than Newcastle.
That could be why he wants to retire next season, he wont be wanted in the Toon and doesn't want to play for anyone else. Ah well, just a thought. |

I think Newcastle rely too much on Shearer their team seams to concentrate on one man, i mean when is Ameobie ever going to be Newcastles key player, well never because he is cr*P

Ameobi?! Crap?! hes been uniteds best striker this season! (coming from a newcastle fan)
Shearer wants to be remembered a legend of the game rather than an old fart who couldnt hack it in his late 30's i.e - gazza. he would never of left Newcastle it was just a publicity stunt. Those italians are getting too big for themselves.
He is a top quality striker and he's earnt my respect.
Nice One Al!

I'll have you know that Shola Ameobi shares a birthday with me. And my mum's friend used to teach him. So we'll be having no Shola slagging round these parts mister. |

Wow.
I saw Eric Cantona in Waterstones once looking at French Literature. And Southampton player Darren Kenton looked at me funny because I was staring at James Beattie on Market Street this year.

Who thinks up that kind of crap?
None of the Geordies I enjoy a casual few drinks with are at all upset with Shearer or the way the team plays.

I've been fishing with Jack Charlton. He rocks.
As for Shearer, that's all I heard from my cousin, whi is a Geordie incidently, and it was also on 5 live a few months back. Apparently so |

What about me getting the ball at Upton park and throwing it to Rio Ferdinand I have seen a premiership match a few years ago in 1999 when West Ham beat Leicester 2-1, there were many big names on display such as Stuart Pearce, Rio Ferdinand, Paolo Di Canio, Joe Cole, Frank Lampard, Emile Heskey, Neil Lennon and i even saw Martin Oniel.

When York were in financial trouble did Keily ever donate any of his wages to the trust
