Yes, the Alligator skin luggage is packed, the staff at Carp Towers have been given their stern instructions in my forthcoming absence, and the "Rolls" is ready and fuelled for the trip to the local aerodrome. Tis the time for the Carp's family trip to that commercial capital known as Orlando. Will be thinking of you all stuck here in Blighty as I swan around supping chilled beers in 90c + Laughing Have been in contact, via e-mail, with the nearest bar to my accomadation in Florida, which is called the "Reno sports bar". Seems the very nice man who runs it has a large plasma screen all set up and ready for "Euro 2004". Special offers for June in the "Reno" are 5 pint jugs of any beer or lager on tap for an amazing Six dollars 99 cents !!!!! Lets ave it.......... Cool See you in Three weeks. Of course if there any bizzare tales or things that always happen to moi on holidays, I will let you know Confused

Have a good one carp, Florida was fab for me in April and atleast you won't have City results worrying you like it was for me.

Remind Orlando I'm still very much in love.

As long as you aren't going to France, you should have a great time.

Carpy the Cricketers Arms in the Mercado on International Drive shows live football (but charges entry to watch it!)

Have a good one and dont be dipping your rod in Typhoon Lagoon! Very Happy

(And dont forget you can get free Bud in the Budweiser Pavillion in Sea World!)

Ah, the English abroad.

Went to a bar the other night and there were lots of cockney sex tourists leering at young prossies.

Walking through the city centre of Kiev the other day, saw an approximately 50-year old English bloke take two young lads aside and start snogging them.

Unfortunately, too many English people abroad are a) from the South and b) are abroad to do things they can't get away with in England because it would be deemed unacceptable.

And we wonder why no-one likes us!

Phil's right, when I was in Florida in April I only wore my England shirt once. I was simply too embarrassed to be seen in it because of the huge number of English types in the various bars talking loudly in their Southern accents about how they felt the either the beer was sh*t, what was on TV was sh*t, yadda yadda yadda.

And I stopped wearing my City shirt for obvious reasons...

Sounds like a familiar story. Now, imagine those people in a country where everything is cheap and they can act like animals and think they are untouchable. The poverty and the misery I see every day in this country I can deal with - it's the English pr*cks you see swanning around the local Pseudo-Irish bars treating local people like sh*t that does my head in. If foreigners behaved like that in England we'd knock ten bells of sh*te out of them, let's face it.

Too right. I was in Barcelona last week and everytime we were anywhere of cultural significance the place was blighted with ignorant Southerners and their whiney kids. I'd have thought they would have been culture vultures, after all, whenever you hear a group of Southern males chatting the conversation usually turns to the likes of Kant...
