my girlfrend has recently got 1st degree burns from a fork (lol) wot treatments should she under go? apparently putting ice dircetly on to it is a bad thing, can anyone help?

Perhaps you should consult a medical practitioner about this injury, they will be able to give you in depth information and perhaps medicine of some description.

I' am a qualified St. John's first aider. 
The best action to take when the skin has been burned is to immediately run cool water over the affected area. This will stop any further damage, and it will also help relieve the pain.
The wound should be left alone and will heal within 1 - 2 weeks depending on how deep it is. Hope she recovers, you could play doctors and nurses with her until she’s better  .

I hold a Girlguiding UK First Response first aid thingy certificate, but all it involved was turning up twice to some hut in the middle of a Bolton ghetto and listening to my mentor harp on about what to do in the case of an epileptic "fit", whilst I seethed in my seat, so god help the Brownies if they hurt themselves. |

speaking of laurence... i was in my grandmas back garden this morning and i heard a couple of 8 or 9 year old kids shout 'laurence not from behind'
