Apparently 75% of 'young' people know nothing about D-Day.

Post honestly yes or no to this question.

"I know when D-Day happened and what it was".

D Day (June 6th 1944) was when the Allies (i.e us and the USA and others) invaded France. Thus the invasion of Nazi Occupied Europe commenced.

It is highly important as it is the 60th Anniversary. Watch the news and you will find out more. Or read History books or whatever.

There are some of us YY who know something about world history.

Right... You don't watch the news and you dislike politics but yet you still feel that you can make a correct political judgment?? Maybe you would understand why taxes are high if you actually watched the budget. T-F I suggest you do a little bit of research before you air your political opinions. You remind me of the guy off an advert. 'If you don't do politics, you don't do a lot.'

On the main topic of this thread: Don't worry LVR, True-Faith is a poor representation of today’s youth. Most kids know what happened on D-Day and understand why it is important to remember those who gave there lives.

I knew it was when the British or Allies or whatever invaded the beaches of France.

(Because it's a level called "D-Day landing" on Medal of Honour!).
