This isnt because some little Paul Gascoinge lookalike scouser in the name of Wayne Rooney plays for them.

Hopefully your grammar will improve. You can stop using that eye-rolling emoticon all the time as well. That's f'cking annoying.

Is it only me who can't understand what Heskey has ever done to make the England squad? He never scores and to be honest is way out of his depth at international level. He didn't even set the Premiership alight with Liverpool.
Rooney and Owen need a few more matches to develop as a partnership TBH, the potential is there for the two of them to form a very good strikeforce.
Agree that Rooney is better than Heskey and should start against France. |

Yes, he really sets the Premiership alight with his number of goals.
Wait.
No he doesn't.

Alan Smith is one of the best English strikers in the Premiership, we will see how good he is next year at Man Utd.
We have had many good strikers in the past which havent been given a chance in the England squad, these players include Andy Cole and Chris Sutton.

True Faith Andy Cole played for England, and was given a chance.
Chris Sutton was once called up for an England "B" international but refused to play, hence why he was never called up to the full squad.
Alan Smith was also rarely played up front by Leeds, yet you claim him to be one of the best Premiership strikers, true he has got a fair amount of goals but he isn't an Henry or Van Nistelrooy.

What is the England B team, was it what the under 21s is called now.
Andy Cole was fantastic at Man Utd, him and Yorke basically won them the treble, then when they went to Blackburn they both failed

Dean Holdsworth played for the B team. So did Andy Sinton.

Graham Taylor gave Sinton an England place ahead of Ryan Giggs didn't he?

Dunno, but Sinton was class. Him, Ruel Fox and Dazza Anderton were great in the Spurs midfield of the mid-90s.

Smith isn't a great striker is he now well i dont think he is, one reason because he doesn't score, now heskey shouldn't be in the National squad for that reason as well. But he does have good points i.e. he works well with owen, holds ball up well and all round good forward he isn't there to score, he is there to help the strikers score that by holding the ball up and getting the knock ons for the stikers to score.
i think against France it should be Heskey and Owen purely for the reason that he is physical and the French defence isn't really up to much is it now??
