Came across this picture of Plough Lane, Wimbledon as it is now.
Just shows you what happens when a club ground shares before they have anywhere else to go. It also shows what the money men can do to a community asset, like a much loved football club.
Its hard to believe it is still as it was left and has stood there for over a decade without a ball being kicked.
What a waste......

The site I got this from is probably the best football ground web service around, see:-

Plough Lane - Wimbledon
The last league game played at Plough Lane was in May 1991. It was first opened in 1912. The record attendance for the ground was 18,000 in 1935.
As it was shortly before it was demolished in 2001:
www.apwj49.dsl.pipex.com/lost/plough for the Plough page becasue all pictures are copyrighted. A lot of photos on that page.
www.footballgroundguide.co.uk for the whole website.

It looks even worse from the outside - cracked concrete, barbed wire, temporary steel fencing and faded flyposters. It's just down the road from Wimbledon dog track

Bit like the Grosvenor Road end at BC then (without the barbed wire).
