Lancashire v Yorkshire in the quarter finals at Old Trafford on either 15/16th June. Will be a TOP day out with lots of beer, food and singing. Any takers? (You better be there Jobi or there'll be trouble!)

If I can get the day off then I'll be there. I don't see much 2nd division cricket so it'll be interesting to see you lot play. Wink

Sadly I'll have started my new job that week so I'll have to give it a miss. Hope it lasts longer than the last roses match I attended.

*BUMP*

Given our recent form I wouldn't be surprised if you White Rose lot managed a famous giant killing at Old Trafford tomorrow. It's your Cup final after all Wink

Ingster- you remind me of Macphail - he is jealous of England (always doing better than the Scots) - Lancashire always jealous of the great Yorkshire who have won so many more championships than the red rose! Very Happy

274-7 with 5 overs left and Vaughan on 100 not out!

Should win it now.

Got to say that Corky had a good game though. Almost back to his best.

Not at all Dave, I'll never duck a bit of Roses banter.

As I said in my post I had a sneaky feeling you'd win and thus my disappointment is soothed by the winning betting slip in my pocket.

So, three cheers for Michael Vaughan, who showed his Lancastrian roots to bat with such aplomb, and best wishes to Yorkshire for the rest of their season in the basement of English cricket.

Sadly didn't make it today so missed the opportunity to mock the red rose scum - mind you not as good these days when youre denied the opportunity to celebrate in front of the member's stand.

Semi finals away at Gloucester on Sat July 27th, may well be tempted for a weekend away.

Are you sure Surprised ? I thought it was the 17th.
I can't do Bristol that weekend, going on holiday on the 18th.
I'll just have to wait for the final instead - 28th August @ lords. May need to miss a City game for that though Sad

You're right, it is the 17th, don't know why I'd put the 27th as I'd made a mental note it was a week after the KW tournie Rolling Eyes

Weekend in Bristol sounds good - might check out the flight details from Newcastle, Thursday night in the toon, Friday flight + out in Bristol, Saaturday cricket and Sunday flight back Cool
