If England have to resort to Vaughan Bowling then it's a pretty piss poor situation.
You see the Aussie's have such a good side because the Bowler's can bowl extermely well and also bat, and the Batsmen are some of the world's best, but don't bowl. They don't need to. Leave Vaughan to batting and let the bowler's get on with their job.

Looking at the BBC review of the Yorks v Devon match, i noticed this
HIGHEST COMPETITION TOTALS
438-5 Surrey v Glamorgan
The Oval 2002
429 Glamorgan v Surrey
The Oval, 2002
413-4 Somerset v Devon
Torquay, 1990
411-6 Yorkshire v Devon
Exmouth 2004
406-5 Leics v Berkshire
Leicester, 1996
Bet that was a bloody good game - 867 runs in 100 overs!
Well done to the Tykes - only 2 more wins and another trip to Lords beckons!

Anything over 250 is good for 50 overs so that must have been an extraordinaryly good batting wicket or some poor bowling on show.
We played 18 overs on tuesday night and struggled to 99. So well done Yorks.

We (Rowntrees now including forum members Paddy, 1Tom and myself) also played 18 overs a side at Easingwold. Tom bowled 2 decent overs, Paddy bowled well but got some tonk and I threw down my usual pies. Guess who got a wicket though (of only two to fall)?
Easingwold got around 180 and in reply Tom looked good before getting an inside edge and we finished around 60 runs short.
Anyhow looks like I'm off to Raskelf as I keep getting dropped from our Saturday team.

Aye was a good laugh last night even though their batsmen seemed to hit it so f***ing hard. I thought I was better off fielding in the Tennis court after your first ball sailed miles over my head. As for two decent overs - I've no idea how my first over didn't go for loads, they were a bit good.

Hussain's retired. Not just from Test cricket either, he's jacked the whole lot in. |

For me, the right decision and means that the selectors won't mess about with Strauss by playing the 'in-out' game.
