It transpires that I'm The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis. Yep, all three at the same time...and I don't even like Turkish Delight.

So, which book are you?

Quote:
You're Compassion Fatigue!
by Susan Moeller
You used to care, but now it's just getting too difficult. You cared about the plight of people in lands near and far, but now the media has bombarded you with images of suffering to the point that you just don't have the energy to go on. You've become cold and heartless, as though you'd lived in New York City for a year or so. But you stand as a serious example to all others that they should turn off their TV sets and start caring again.

Eek.

You're Catch-22!
by Joseph Heller
Incredibly witty and funny, you have a taste for irony in all that you see. It seems that life has put you in perpetually untenable situations, and your sense of humor is all that gets you through them. These experiences have also made you an ardent pacifist, though you present your message with tongue sewn into cheek. You could coin a phrase that replaces the word "paradox" for millions of people.

Excellent! Cool

"You're Compassion Fatigue!" - Exactly the same as Helen, although with only 5 questions, I'm sure it'll get repetitive.

Now, i do actually like reading every now and then, but i have never heard of that book. Although the author rings a bell... kind of!

Did the Country Quiz too and got:

You're Ireland!
Mystical and rain-soaked, you remain mysterious to many people, and this makes you intriguing. You also like a good night at the pub, though many are just as worried that you will blow up the pub as drink your beverage of choice. You're good with words, remarkably lucky, and know and enjoy at least fifteen ways of eating a potato. You really don't like snakes

And it appears i'm the Vatican City, but f**k knows how it came up with that! Think it was the religion question, and being non religious i just clicked on the one that was closer to home...

You're Vatican City!
You're pretty sure that you're infallible in all that you do or say, and it's hard to say whether you're right. You have a lot of followers, most of whom will do whatever you say without question, or line up to see you ride around in your spiffy car. Religious and reserved, you have some wisdom, but also a bit much contempt for everyone around you. You're also fabulously wealthy, no matter what you say to the contrary.

Country - wise, apparantly I am Chile:

Quote:
You're really skinny, and kind of bumpy in frame, but you're not as rough a person as you used to be. You like long, long, long walks on the beach and avoiding having your rights violated, just like anybody else does. You're even willing to stand up to those with more power and influence than you, trying to bring them to justice. Fight the man!

Some of that's worryingly true! Shocked

As for books - The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner:

Quote:
Strong-willed but deeply confused, you are trying to come to grips with a major crisis in your life. People often have a hard time understanding you, but they have some vague sense that you must be brilliant anyway. Ultimately, you signify nothing.

Right, okay then. Confused Rolling Eyes

I sound more like Chile than the Vatican City. That site has baffled me when it comes to telling me which country i am. It obviously asked me all the wrong questions!

You're Alice's Adventures in Wonderland!
by Lewis Carroll
After stumbling down the wrong turn in life, you've had your mind opened to a number of strange and curious things. As life grows curiouser and curiouser, you have to ask yourself what's real and what's the picture of illusion. Little is coming to your aid in discerning fantasy from fact, but the line between them is so blurry that it's starting not to matter. Be careful around rabbit holes and those who smile to much, and just avoid hat shops altogether.

Holy crap.

Quote:
You're Pale Fire!
by Vladimir Nabokov
You're really into poetry and the interpretation thereof. Along the road of life, you have had several identity crises which make it very unclear who you are, let alone how to interpret poetry. You probably came from a foreign country, but then again you seem foreign to everyone in ways unrelated to immigration. Most people think you're quite funny, but maybe you're just sick. Talking to you ends up being much like playing a round of the popular board game Clue

They would go and give me my favourite author. Shocked

It's basically about a paedophile, Humbert Humbert, who moves to America marries a woman in order to seduce her 12-year-old daughter Dolores or "Lolita". In the course of events her mother dies and the story continues from there...

It's been made into a film and everything, and definitely worth reading if you've got an open enough mind.

You're Love in the Time of Cholera!
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Like Odysseus in a work of Homer, you demonstrate undying loyalty by sleeping with as many people as you possibly can. But in your heart you never give consent! This creates a strange quandary of what love really means to you. On the one hand, you've loved the same person your whole life, but on the other, your actions barely speak to this fact. Whatever you do, stick to bottled water. The other stuff could get you killed.

Don't tell Mrs AD (or the girlfirend Wink )
Embarassed

EDIT.....

Mrs AD did the test

You're To Kill a Mockingbird!
by Harper Lee
Perceived as a revolutionary and groundbreaking person, you have changed the minds of many people. While questioning the authority around you, you've also taken a significant amount of flack. But you've had the admirable guts to persevere. There's a weird guy in the neighborhood using dubious means to protect you, but you're pretty sure it's worth it in the end. In the end, it remains unclear to you whether finches and mockingbirds get along in real life.

Who are they referring to when they say "There's a weird guy in the neighborhood...." Very Happy

You're Ender's Game!
by Orson Scott Card
To you, most everything is a game. It's summertime, and the living's easy. Even when there's a war on, it's just a game to you. But even though you've historically been able to meet every challenge, there are some doubts about what lies ahead. Are you sure you're up to the next test? Don't forget to pay attention to your siblings.

D'oh!

As for me...

You're Watership Down!
by Richard Adams
Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're actually incredibly deep and complex Cool . You show people the need to rethink their assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they build their houses [shome mishtake, shurely? Shocked ]. You might be one of the greatest people of all time Cool . You'd be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

You're India!
A great thinker [well, obviously] and leader, you have a great deal of power despite being really poor [please give generously]. You like movies, cows, and you probably are a vegetarian [yeah right Rolling Eyes ] and may even be a pacifist [bollox]. You've probably been moving away from pacifism lately, though, as you get more and more defensive that everyone around you is trying to hurt you [only because they are trying to hurt me Crying or Very sad ]. How about a nice game of chess?

Taking time out from my incredibly busy day at work, I pretended to be York City FC and got the following:

Quote:
You're East Timor!
You're small and lonely and have finally gotten free of a very bad situation. It seems like everyone was willing to rescue you, though the wait was excrutiating for everyone to wake up and set you free. Now you're still lonely, but happier in the loneliness since you never really liked people to begin with. And people respect you more than you really think they should, using you as an example for what they hope to accomplish.

Uncanny.
