With our new number 1 Porter looking rather rubbish on Saturday it seems highly likely, that unless he improves, Brass will bring in another goalkeeper before the start of next season. Personally as a fan of Porter, i would like to see him improve his all round game and stay as Number 1. But if we are to buy another keeper, who could it be?

I don't know as I have never seen him play but yes there is also him and Arran Reid as well. I think an experienced keeper though should be a priortity, as our three keepers between them haven't played many first team games at all.

Yes i think an experieanced keeper should be a priority, but i would also hope that the keepers which already there have the oppurtunity to improve there game, but as per usual in football it all boils down to the money and the availability of it

Agreed Somebody. But if we can get an experienced keeper in on a free transfer then that would be good. I think Porter is only good as a back up and perhaps Stockdale should be given a run out in pre season to show if he is worthy of being the number 1.

I went to Oxford away he came on for about 15-20 minutes last season and he looked very solid no mistakes or errors and pulled off one very good save from a close range header, admittedly he conceded a goal from the same situation but on the whole quite good.

Perhaps he will get a run in the team then.

From training Brass should be able to tell if he's up to the job. Although you can't recreate the pressure of a important league game.

No, but if he is good enough put him into the team. He can't do any worse than Porter did on Saturday.

I think the reason why Porter came for that cross is that he had one practically the same 30 seconds before, what a sh!t clam. I was extremely impressed with him when he played against Leeds

There's been rumours about that we're after 24 year-old Morecambe keeper Craig Mawson.

Bring in an oldie like Dave Beasent or Kevin Poole, who have about 1 more year in them, then they can hand their gloves over too an older David Stockdale. And the player can become our goalkeeping coach.

Not a bad call actually, but I think we need someone with lower league experience.

Musslewhite could be a good buy out of those.

Unfortunately, Ingham's too good for City. I believe he's been on loan in division 2 this season.

Yeah I remember that, he did look good and made no mistakes. The goal was unstopable, a bullet header from point-blank range.

Although I'm sure he played all the second half Confused

The fact is, it looks like Nogan will continue to start every game next season.

So with him automatically in the team, do we really want another oldy playing alongside him? The slowest strikeforce in the conference? No thanks.

Then Stockdale should be considered as a serious option for the keeper spot next season then, Porter will have to get his act together.
