He hasn't got in to the team since his injury lay off but I reckon Brassy should give him a chance. Im sure he could do a better job at right wing back than Leigh Wood and maybe Edmo.

Yeh I think he plays in the reserves fairly often. They're usually mid week. Check the fixtures on this site.

Disagree with this.
Downes for me looked very vulnerable defensively when he was picked at right wing back earlier in the season. He was too often caught out of position up field, leaving the opposition far too much time to put in dangerous crosses in a number of matches. Also because of his height I didn't think he looked very comfortable with some of the taller opponents simply because they could both out jump and out muscle him too easily.
Other than that, he's not that bad a player.
Perhaps pick him instead of Wood, but no way instead of Edmo.

Yeh fair enough point. I havent seen Downes play for a while, but I just said that from seein Edmo playing recently, not the best he's ever played!

I've decided I'm not ever watching City again unless Wood is booted out the door after his display today. |

Every view over the past fortnight has been unanimous on Wood.
He's not a wing back!
So it's worrying that Brassy doesn't seem to recognise it.

A sorry state of affairs when you know a footballer as he sits behind you at games and is seen at various night spots.

It was more a reflection of him rather than you. It doesn't say much for his career. Hang on, he's at City......

Bit of scandal developing here I hope. However you might find the Child Support Agency more useful and yes Helen, I have sent those forms back now.

Bloody hell, the other week it was Bryan Stewart, now it's Downes. What is it with stalkers and our reserve team players? |

Have a look at the league table, nuff said. He can't even make into out side at the moment. It has been an injury disrupted season for me and he has done nothing to show that he should be in the starting XI.

He's not made any kind of impact however he could probably do a similar job for a dog sh*t 3rd Division side again next season - Grimsby perhaps?
