Just a quick announcement for those who play football at Oaklands on Friday or Sunday evenings.
This Sunday it is ON at 6:45pm as usual as it doesn't clash with the City match (there is plenty of time to get to Oaklands after the game).
The Friday after next, that's Friday 9th April it is CANCELLED due to the clash with Cambridge United vs York City.
Sunday 11th is Easter Sunday. I will find out if the sports centre is open or closed shortly and announce on here when I know.
All other days it is ON as usual.

I'm thinking about making a one off appearance sometime over Easter, to convince some of you who have been trying to get me to go to 6 a side games that I really am too useless to play there on a regular basis.

Have to report the highlight of the evening was acombred getting nutmegged by one of Nick's infamous backheels. The stunned expression on Mr Kay's face was priceless.
Also a rare visit from JR who showed some Cruyff like skills.

Didn't think much of my goal then Tim? Oh well. Another highlight was your goal against Cuza.
As for Nick's backheel, I knew that was going to happen but just couldn't react fast enough |

The way back in Tim's car must have been a squash. 4 of them squeezed into the back!

My mistake, you are correct as it was only 4 in the back.

Well, from what I've learned today, I'm all footballed out until I get settled and employed in Ghoul...
£8+ to get there, plus the cash to play. 2hrs each way, I can't see it. Oh, I also have £24 to last me until I get paid next, and since I don't have a job, you may well see me exposing myself for money...

Get the number 4 bus from the rail station direct to Oaklands (Cornlands Road), it's every 15 mins on Sundays and it takes 20 minutes.
