YORK CITY F.C BOARD : CHANGE OF STRUCTURE
At completion of the first year of management and stewardship of the Community Club, the York City Board of Directors have unanimously approved a revised Board structure, and redefined responsibilities, consistent with progress made so far and in support of future business plan objectives.
The details are:-
Steve Beck, Chairman
Responsibility for representing the Club at local and national events and meetings.
Director responsible for youth football development at the Club and in the Community.
To act as the catalyst to all supporter varied groups within the Club.
Jason McGill, Managing Director
Effective overall management of the Football Club.
Responsible for business strategy and negotiations at senior level for all major commercial and Football Industry affairs. Leading and promoting major initiatives, and dealing with all key issues. Liaison with major sponsors.
Terry Doyle, Deputy Managing Director / Finance Director
Deputy Manager Director duties and responsible for overall management of Finances and Budgets.
Financial reporting to Institutions and Football Authorities.
Managing and authorising playing contracts. Human Resources responsibility.
Mike Brown, Business Development Director
Responsible for new business development and planning.
Introduction and management of fund raising.
Planning and management of commercial and promotional projects.
Information Technology.
Ian McAndrew, Stadia Development Director
Responsible for real estate and management of ground facilities and improvements.
Managing compliance with Safety Groups and Licensing Authorities regulations, and other statutory and Football regulatory authorities.
Liaison with Local Authority and on Planning issues and approvals.
Sophie McGill, Communications and Community Director
Responsible for total Communications strategy and constructive and prudent relationships with local and national media.
High profile presentation of Club affairs.
Managing relationships with the Local Authority, key community organisations and Football Industry bodies for Community development.
Steve Beck comments:
