City manager Chris Brass has made two new acquisitions to his York squad. Young Premiership striker Richard Offiong of Newcastle United, and experienced right-midfielder Kevin Donovan have been brought in.
Offiong has been signed on a month's loan, with the possibility of extending it to the end of the season. Meanwhile, Donovan has initially signed on non-contract terms following his release by Rochdale, looking to earn a longer deal if he can impress.
21-year old Offiong is a former England under-20 international, who has still yet to make the first team at St. James' Park. However, he has played in loan spells at Darlington and Motherwell so far in his career.
Donovan has made over 400 appearances in league football, featuring for teams such as Barnsley, West Brom and Grimsby Town.
