Thanks to a much-needed £100,000 sponsorship deal, Bootham
Crescent football ground is now known as KitKat Crescent.
The ground is very compact and has a capacity of
just 9,459. The David Longhurst Stand (far left), the Main Stand
(top) and the Grosvenor Road away terrace (far right) are all
surrounded by terraced housing which have prevented expansion of
the ground.

Below, the back of York City's Main Stand is
pictured. The ticket office can be seen (lower windows to the
centre of the picture). This photo was taken before ex-chairman
Jon Batchelor re-branded the club.
Below you can see the main
stand after the re-branding. (The word "soccer" has
since been replaced with "football" after Jon Batchelor's
departure).
This photo shows the Main Stand at Bootham
Crescent, pictured from the David Longhurst Stand. The stand
itself is made up of the Main Stand (the wooden seats in the top
half of the stand), the Family Stand (the red seats to the left
of the tunnel) and the Enclosure (the red seats to the right of
the tunnel). Pre-1993, the Enclosure took up the entire area in
front of the Main Stand in the form of terracing.
The photograph below shows a view of the Popular
Stand from the David Longhurst stand.

Here is a closer view of the 'Pop' stand. The stand was previously a terrace, up until the
summer of 1974 when City won promotion to the old second
division.

The picture below shows a view of the David
Longhurst terrace from inside the Pop Stand.
This photo shows the David Longhurst Stand, which was
roofed in the summer of 1991 after the tragic death of David Longhurst on the pitch in a match against Lincoln at Bootham Crescent the previous season

And finally here is a view of the away terrace. The
Grosvenor Road end was allocated to away fans after segregation
was made compulsory in the 1970s.
